Miss Crystal

Hi! My name is Crystal Harding. I am the mother of two beautiful children and an Occupational Therapist. I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in the area of Occupational Therapy from D'Youville College. I  have specialized in the area of pediatrics, primarily working with children birth through age 5. As an Occupational therapist, I help prepare children by teaching them the foundations needed for a successful transition into Kindergarten through purposeful and meaningful activities.

My family and I live on Grand Island and I have been working with children and their families in the area for the past 12  years.

Miss Judy

Hi!  My name is Judith Sharkey.  Children have always been one of the main interests in my life. I was part of the first graduating class at SUNY Fredonia for a specially developed program for Early Childhood Education focusing on the preschool years.

After working in a center following graduation I was able to open my own center, Sheridan Day Care Center and Nursery School. This became a very successful program, as well as a rewarding and fulfilling experience nuturing children from infants to 13 years old for over 30 years. During those years many lasting relationships with students and families have been a mainstay for me.

3 Year Old Teacher

Hi! My name is Ed Manz.  Growing up in a small rural town I came to Buffalo in 2005 to pursue my degree in Education. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Birth through Second Grade from Buffalo Sate College. I then went on to complete my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education Birth through Second Grade. While attending Buffalo State, I volunteered and substituted at their childcare center in the two and three year old classrooms.  My experiences during student teaching varied between Buffalo Public Schools and the Universal Pre-School in Barker NY.  With the completion of my degrees I received a position as a 1:1 aide at a school specializing in working with children who have emotional and behavioral difficulties.  I have worked with students at this location in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first and third grades. I also have gained experience as a teacher assistant and lead classroom teacher.

My experiences have taught me that constancy and follow through are key components in a child's success in the areas of academics and social emotional growth.  I believe that children learn best through doing and exploring.

This is my sixth year working at Kiddo's Korner Preschool!

Hi! My name is Molly Meka. I grew up on Grand Island and love being able to work and give back to this amazing community! I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. While at UMBC, I was a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team for four years. After coming back to Grand Island, I attended Buffalo State College for my Master’s Degree and Initial Teaching Certification in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. Upon graduating, I began substitute teaching at local school districts. Outside of teaching, I am an age-group coach with the Grand Island Swim Club. For the past four years, I have worked alongside Mr. Ed at the preschool’s summer camp and within the classroom throughout the school year. My experiences have taught me that fostering a strong and loving relationship with children is a key to their success in the classroom. I’m excited to officially be part of Kiddo’s Korner Preschool!

Teacher's Assistant

Hi! My name is Tracy Caughill. Throughout my life I have dedicated a lot of my time to taking care of children and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. I have previously been a nanny where I was fortunate enough to take care of several children. Nurturing them and watching them grow was a wonderful experience. This led me to become interested in working at the preschool. Teaching children the fundamentals at such a young age is so important. They retain so much and are so willing to learn. I am dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and make it my goal to make sure each child receives the best in education, care, and love from me so that they may reach their fullest potentials.

I currently live on Grand Island and am the mother of two children. We love living in this small community where everyone is so friendly.

This is my fourth  year working at Kiddo's Korner Preschool!

Miss Jenn

2 Year Old Teacher

Hi! My name is Jennifer Winarski.  I am a mother, artist, and teacher.  I have an Associate's Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Early Childhood, a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading.  I have worked in early childhood centers as well as in public schools up to 5th grade.  I have spent the past 11 years as a stay at home mom to my two sons, painting murals, and teaching painting classes to adults.  I love to learn and to teach.  Ever since I was 10 years old, I knew I wanted to be a mom and an artist.  As a grown up, I still have the passion to nurture others and to be creative.  Teaching has been the perfect outlet that combines both those interests.  I am very excited for the opportunity to teach here at Kiddo's Korner.

Miss Jennie

2 Year Old Teacher's Assistant

Hi!  My name is Jennie Randle.  I have been caring for young children for almost 30 years, and it has always been a lifelong passion of mine.  I started my career working with kids at the age of 13, when I got my first job at a local daycare center.  After eight years working with youngsters at daycare centers in Niagara County, I transitioned to working for one of the first childcare centers established by the Buffalo Public Schools providing in-school care for the children of teen mothers.  Most recently, I have had the pleasure of working with Kindergarten and 1st graders in the Grand Island Central Schools before coming over to Kiddo's Korner Preschool.

I live on Grand Island, and my life's greatest joy has been being a mother and raising four incredible children, with my husband.  I absolutely love working with young children, and I look forward to caring for your child as if they were my own.
